This delicious fresh, round, fuzzy skinned fruit is part of the same family as plums, almonds and nectarines (which are simple smooth skinned peaches). Our recipe uses a yummy combination of white and yellow skinned peaches.

Peaches and nectarines contain vitamin C and A, as well as beta- carotene, potassium and the flavonoids lycopene and lutein which give the red, orange and yellow colours to fruit and vegetables.

Peaches are delicious fresh or in a fruit salad when they are in season. Try them in cereal or brush fresh peaches with honey and bake or grill for 2-3 minutes.
