Herbs and spices are a great way to add flavour to your little Piccolos meals, and to help you do this we have created a handy herb chart!

Adding everyday herbs to liven up our baby’s food is a wonderful way to expand your baby’s taste buds and get them familiar with the taste of family food. Baby food does not have to be bland, and using herbs is a great way of adding flavour without using salt. It will amaze you the flavours they enjoy from very first tastes!

Fresh or dried, the types of herbs and you may add to baby’s foods is entirely up to you, but here are a few great herbs to try. Start with a pinch and go from there! Here are some tips for the spring/summer period that you can go and give ahead to your little one!

A few suggestions for spring pairings:

  • Cauliflower & thyme
  • Peppers & basil
  • Courgette & mint
